This is the guideline following this blog: No one will stay if they are rude, arrogant and just a looker. This blog is for supporting one another on a life long committed journey. Encourage one another. My blog is a no carb/ low carb group and that is what the focus will be here. I for one have no desire to be skinny; or even on the thin side. I am a full figured woman and like having some fat and meat on my bones. Even though I have gained weight, I still hold a shape and I like the way I look. I just need it to a healthy and a smaller me. This is not a blog for lap band users, binging and vomiting, anorexic, or body builders. It is definetly not a group for woman that choose to not be real women....we are not girls; so please NO DRAMA. All trolls will be tossed and held in chains!!LOL ONE MUST NOT BE AS BIG AS THEIR REFRIGERATOR! STARTING A LIFE CHANGE 1/1/10 SHOCKED:{ 245 LBS....UNBELIEVABLE! Rather than aiming for being perfect, just aim to be little bit better today than you were yesterday.

HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY BLOG PAGE

I am so ready to start this life change. Not a diet; but a real life change. The last time that I was on this life changing journey was in 2004; and I lost 67 pounds within 4 months. Then I was hurt really bad and couldn't do much but sit, see my neurosurgeon and orthopedic doctors, lots of physical therapy and little to no movement; and we all know what that will do to a body. I gained and just kept gaining.

Now with a New Year soon to be here ~~~ welcome 2010 ~~~ I am ready to start to become the me that I know that I can be.

We might lie and deceive ourselves; but, believe me ~~ PICTURES NEVER LIE along with us!

I have my plan and I am ready to begin on the 2nd of January. I am going to try and post a monthly photo and I know I will see the difference for myself. I know because I was on my journey and then was side tracked ~~~ sucker punched so to speak. This really works and now I am ready!!!

I DISPISE BEING FAT and I also can't stand obama

OK!!!
Now I have a tool that will help me also as I begin my new life journey.
Truth here~~~ I once considered getting a piece of raw meat, letting the flies get to it and putting it in a gallon jar where I would be subjected to seeing maggots. I have a weak stomach when I see them. I would place the gallon jar right where I could view it and that would make me so sick to my stomach that the very thought of eating would make me sick and I would pass the food up.
Now, my plan is to have obama's picture on the refrigerator and also on my stove and oven. The sight of his face with his turned up nose is enough to make me leave any room. IT WILL WORK!!!

A New Year Prayer

Holy Father,
God of our yesterdays, our today, and our tomorrows.
We praise You for Your unequaled greatness.
Thank You for the year behind us and for the year ahead.
Help us in Your new year, Father, to fret less and laugh more.
To teach our children to laugh by laughing with them.
To teach others to love by loving them.
Knowing, when Love came to the stable in Bethlehem, He came for us.
So that Love could be with us, and we could know You.
That we could share Love with others.
Help us, Father, to hear Your love song in every sunrise,
in the chriping of sparrows in our backyards,
in the stories of our old folks, and the fantasies of our children.
Help us to stop and listen to Your love songs,
so that we may know You better and better.
We rejoice in the world You loved into being.
Thank You for another new year and for new chances every day.
We pray for peace, for light, and for hope, that we might spread them to others.
Forgive us for falling short this past year.
We leave the irreparable past in your hands, and step out into the unknown new year knowing You will go with us.
We accept Your gift of a new year and we rejoice in what's ahead, depending on You to help us do exactly what You want..

Pray about my decision

Decide?
Let me pray first; and I did; and then made it a moment of full surrender and petition. Trust in the ONE that can make it happen. Right now I am feeling a sense of satisfaction knowing that I have given all the power over to Jesus and have chucked WILL POWER out the door. Now with knowing that God will always be with me as I make the first baby steps and then become the adult that I am; I can step into my journey, my future; taking action on what needs to be done according to God's will.....no longer Ramona's will. Every new day will be step-by-step, breath-by-breath; and a thank You Jesus before I retire to bed, for He has helped me make it through one more road block made of human fat.

If your BMI is between 20 and 22:
This indicates the ideal, healthy amount of body fat, which is associated with living longest, and the lowest incidence of serious illness. Coincidentally, it seems this ratio is what many individuals perceive to be the most aesthetically attractive.

If your BMI is between 22 and 25:
This is still considered an acceptable range, and is associated with good health.

If your BMI is between 25 and 30:
You are considered “Hefty” and should finds ways to lower your weight, through diet and exercise. You are at increased risk for a variety of illnesses at your present weight. You should lose weight by changing your diet and exercising more.

If your BMI is over 30:
This indicates an unhealthy condition, your excess “Phat” is putting you at risk for heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, gall bladder disease and some cancers. You should lose weight by changing your diet and exercising more.

I have seen a lot of newbies, like me, worried they have stalled, or feeling they are putting effort into atkins but not getting rewards.I know all the regulars say it, the moderators say it, but I really need to say it...TAKE MEASUREMENTS and RECORD THEM week by week... one of those measurements can be your weight... but more importantly I would say use a tape measure and measure as many parts of your body as you dare! I measure.... Neck, Chest, Biceps, Waist, Hips, Thighs, Calves, Forearms and lastly my weight. IF I had relied on the scales alone, I would have given up atkins at the end of the second week!!! In my first week I lost 17lbs, the second week I gained about 4 lbs back, over the last couple of weeks I have managed to loose the 4lbs again and almost another lb. However, every week, each measurement has gone down, with the exception of a couple which has kinda lost one week and stayed the same the next...ITS THE TAPE MEASURE WHICH KEPT ME GOING! At the end of the first week, the tape measure recorded that I had lost maybe a quarter inch here and there... nothing massive... but the scales said 17lbs..Also, bare in mind that in week 2 I also started going to the gym 3 times a week.. which has probably caused an increase in muscle mass... muscle weighing more than fat, actually means even though the scales say to date I have lost almost 18 lbs.. I have actually probably lost a lot more than 18 lbs in fat, its just I have gained a massive amount of muscle bellow the fat.
So.. my golden rule.. BE PATIENT.. TRUST THE TAPE MEASURE & ENJOY THE SCALES WHEN THEY BRING GOOD NEWS... BUT AGAIN.. TRUST THE TAPE MEASURE!If you have not recorded your measurements yet... Do it today, it may be the key to realizing your loosing more than you think!

Cleochatra's Best Ever Revol-Oopsie Rolls
Rolls:
3 large eggs
1 pkg Splenda
dash of salt
pinch of cream of tartar
3 ounces cream cheese (not Tbsp!) Do not soften!

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Separate the eggs and add Splenda, salt, and cream cheese to the yolks. Use a mixer to combine the ingredients together.
In a separate bowl, whip egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff (if you're using the same mixer, mix the whites first and then the yolk mixture). Using a spatula, gradually fold the egg yolk mixture into the white mixture, being careful not to break down the whites.
Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray and spoon the mixture onto the sheet, making 6 mounds. Flatten each mound slightly.
Bake about 30 minutes (You want them slightly softer, not crumbly).
Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes, and then remove to a rack and allow them to cool.
Store them in a bread sack or a ziplock bag to keep them from drying out.Makes 6@ about 85 calories a piece, >1 carb perYou can find it here: The Lighter Side of Low Carb

I am never alone in this journey

Jesus,

I thank you that I am able to possess my vessel (body). I thank you that I have the will to lose unhealthy pounds and make better food choices.
Thank you Lord that I have an appetite and a desire for foods that will nourish my body.
Jesus, because you are always with me, I know that I am not alone in this. I claim victory over obesity; over-weight; and unhealthy eating habits.
Father, give me the wisdom to make the right choices for my body. And let your light of success, shine in me, that others will see my efforts for change, and glorify My Father in Heaven.
